Kinfold help docs

Parent app for families

The Kinfold parent app is free for families. Seeing your child’s day never costs you anything, and there are no ads.

Joining

Your centre sends each guardian their own invitation. Tap the link, create your account and download the app (iOS, Android or web). Each guardian has their own login and settings.

Your child’s day

  • Live feed: photos, meals, naps, diapers and notes appear as teachers add them.
  • Evening summary: one digest of the day at a time you choose.
  • Siblings: all your children in one feed, with a filter.

Notifications

Go to Settings › Notifications to choose, by category, what arrives right away and what waits for your evening digest. Incidents and emergencies always come through.

Ask about my child’s day

Type a question such as “Did she eat lunch?” or “When was her last diaper change?” Kinfold answers from today’s records and shows the log it used. If there’s no record, it says so and offers to ask the room.

Photos

Swipe through full-resolution photos, save one or save all. You can download your child’s whole archive at any time, including for at least two years after your child leaves the centre.

Pickups and family

Add grandparents, nannies and other authorized pickups with a photo. For a one-off pickup, create a one-time code that expires after use or after 24 hours.

Paying

See Billing and payments. Bank debit is the cheapest way to pay. Year-end receipts for childcare expenses are created automatically.

Separated parents

Each parent can have their own account, notification settings and share of the bill. Centres can apply custody arrangements, such as view-only access or no pickup, which Kinfold enforces in the app and at check-out.

Optional extras (from 2027)

Families will be able to choose an optional family plan with stories, comics, games and keepsakes. It’s never required to see your child’s day.
